Runs take place during Alert Bay Seafest weekend, which includes Music, Art, Culture and Fun! The same day as the Salmon Run is "Musicfest", featuring amazing bands playing from noon till midnight (following the runs), including Adonis Puentes and Luv Shak. The day before the Salmon Run features the 360 Kayak Paddle around Cormorant Island, an exciting event that draws athletes, and people just wanting to have fun, from all over the province! Throughout the whole weekend, "Artfest" takes place, showcasing some of the talent Alert Bay has to offer. Also taking place are: Opening ceremonies, Fantasy Sea Land Parade, crowning of Mr. & Mrs. Seafest, Family Feud, youth-child lip sync's, Shacked up, Seafest Cabaret, craft, food, jewellery, carving, vendors, T'sasala Cultural Group dance performance, Baby Contest, Shop Rite Shopping Spree, Golden Girls Crochet Contest, Kids Zone, etc.

Visit AlertBay.ca for more information about the whole fun weekend and the town of Alert Bay. Accomodation is limited on the Island so please reserve early. Extra accomodation is offered in Port McNeill, just a short ferry ride away.

This is our first run but we hope to have a half marathon and marathon in the future.

See you at Seafest!
